Notice deadline calculator

List each event and the notice your contract asks for. The calculator works out each deadline and shows which notices went on time, which were late and which are still due.

Everything stays in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere. Your rows are kept on this device only, so a refresh does not lose them.

How the calculator counts

  • Day 1 is the day after the event. A 14 day notice for an event on 02 Feb 2026 is due by 16 Feb 2026.
  • Working days skip Saturdays, Sundays and any holidays you list. The event day itself never counts.
  • A notice given on the deadline day is on time. "Late by" and "Due in" count calendar days.
  • Particulars are counted from the date the notice was given, on the same day basis as the notice.

Events and notices

One row for each event that needs a notice.

    Holidays (optional)

Used only for rows counted in working days. One date per line, as 2026-10-02 or 02/10/2026. You can add a name after the date.

Rows are saved in this browser only.

This is a calculator, not legal advice. Contracts differ on how days are counted. Some count only working days, some treat Saturday as a working day, some run time from when the contractor became aware of the event, and some need the notice to be received rather than sent.

Check your clause, and the contract's own definition of "day", before you rely on any date shown here.
